Design
Xperia Z1 of course looks much appealing no matter in what aspect. Like other siblings of the same family, Xperia Z1 is constructed with full glass both in front and back. There is a prominent metal round power button and SIM card slot in the right side of the phone, while thee micro SD card slot and USB port lie in the left side. The Sony Logo can be seen above the display and the back shell. The G camera of Xperia Z1 is also clearly identified as 20.7MP, below which is a LED flash. The bezel of Xperia Z1 is cut from a full plate of metal, giving a good sense of grip.
Xperia Z1 has the same size as Xperia Z, but appears slightly thicker. Despite the same large screen of 5 inchers like Galaxy S4, Z1 seems longer and wider, and it is not a problem to fit in the pocket of jeans. As Xperia Z, Z1 also sports impressively water-proof shell, certified to IP55/IP58. The earphone jack can resist water itself and the whole device can stay below water 1.5m for 30 minutes.
